Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and ensure top-notch service throughout the patient journey.

Join a collaborative team, maintain accuracy in measurements, and stay current on products, warranties, and insurance plans while delivering a superior eyewear experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting eyewear fitting their lifestyle and prescription.
• Interprets prescriptions and communicates with optometrists/ophthalmologists.
• Updates patients on order status and resolves issues with management escalation.
• Educates patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Performs eyewear adjustments and repairs for proper fit and comfort.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area and displays.
