Job summary

AEG Vision seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensuring proper fit and precise measurements while delivering outstanding service.

You will interpret prescriptions, educate patients on options, insurance and warranties, and maintain a tidy optical area with a focus on accuracy and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State licensure is required to practice as an optician.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification is preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is essential.
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and accurate lens dispensing.
• Explain product options, coatings, and lens treatments clearly.
• Take and relay patient information and orders to team; monitor order status.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance basics.
• Maintain clean, organized frames and displays; support team goals.
