Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an experienced Optician in Preston, Idaho to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories, ensure proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing, and combine technical accuracy with outstanding service.

You will also manage prescription data in the EHR/ALE, educate on care and warranty, and coordinate with technicians and managers to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and provides complete understanding of our customized recommendations for products and services.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter all prescription information into the EHR and ALE system with proper documentation.
• Follow-up on all pending orders and inform patients of delays or readiness.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty, and protection plans.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance plans, eligibility, benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to update order status and resolve issues.
