Job summary

AEG Vision in Draper, UT is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and provide thorough service from selection through dispensing.

Role requires strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail, with some experience in sales and HIPAA compliance. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and pricing to patients.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE system and maintain patient charts.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to update order status and resolve delays.
• Inspect final products for quality and adjust eyewear for comfort and accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and up-to-date knowledge of products and rebates.
