Job summary

AEG Vision in Preston, Idaho, is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the on-site team, ensuring exceptional patient care and strong business results. You will drive daily operations, coach staff, and coordinate with the Optometrist to maintain service standards and workflow efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years in optical or related leadership, a high school diploma, and the ability to learn practice software quickly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eyecare or optical practice leadership experience preferred.
• Optician certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to learn software quickly and support team adoption of current and future practice technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, and operational consistency.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader, aligning team with patient needs and performance goals.
• Set clear expectations for staff and ensure alignment with care standards.
• Partner with Optometrist to support exam flow and evolving service offerings.
• Coach and develop team, recognize performance, and drive accountability.
• Support onboarding, ongoing training, and technology updates.
• Ensure exceptional patient service and timely follow-up.
• Monitor patient feedback and trends to identify opportunities and threats.
• Review performance data to guide improvements and growth.
• Collaborate with District Manager on sales, profitability, and patient experience.
• Communicate priorities to connect results with behavior and execution.
• Utilize reports and trend data to identify gaps and opportunities.
