Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled dispensing optician to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers find eyewear that fits their prescription, face, and lifestyle, taking precise measurements and ensuring accurate fittings.

You’ll explain prescription terminology, uphold our optical standards, and collaborate with a close-knit team to deliver exceptional service that embodies Warby Parker values.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician as applicable by state licensing requirements.
• Clear, effective, professional communicator able to explain terms to customers.
• Energetic, positive team player with adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyewear needs and provide exceptional service.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings clearly to customers.
• Collaborate with team to establish sales and service best practices.
• Help customers select frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, and lifestyle.
• Represent the brand and educate others about its values and mission.
