Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Illinois. You will help patients select frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and dispense products with precision.

Responsibilities include updating the EHR with prescriptions, communicating about insurance benefits, and staying current on products and rebates. A strong customer-service mindset and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge helpful; strong PC skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and service plans to patients.
• Perform eyewear adjustments, fittings, and lens dispensing with care.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain product knowledge.
