Job summary

AEG Vision in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is seeking a part-time Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and provide knowledgeable service to support a great patient experience.

You will stay current on products, lens options, and insurance details while maintaining high standards of quality and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor; sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ALE and document accordingly.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and product options to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of displays and work area.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on order status and issues.
