Job summary

EssilorLuxottica’s Muscle Shoals Eye Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage daily administrative tasks, greet patients, and coordinate between doctors, visitors, and patients. The role focuses on delivering an unsurpassed patient experience by efficiently linking clinical and office functions.

The position requires a proactive, team-oriented individual with healthcare experience, strong communication, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of office experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and professionally.
• Answer phones in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Schedule appointments in person or by phone to optimize satisfaction and provider time.
• Notify doctors of patient arrivals and manage delays to keep on schedule.
• Make reminder calls for appointment confirmations and pickup notifications.
• Record and update financial information, collect charges and assist with third-party claims.
• Maintain inventory and order office supplies in coordination with the Practice Manager.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of medical, personal, and financial information.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work environment and adhere to policies.
