Job summary

The successful candidate will educate patients on eyewear care, insurance benefits, and options, interpret prescriptions, and enter data into the EHR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses including tints and coatings.
• Explain insurance benefits, pricing, and warranties to patients.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR system and update patient charts.
• Provide eyewear adjustments and repairs for proper fit and comfort.
• Follow up on orders and notify patients about status and delays.
