Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly Clinical Specialist (Optometric Assistant) to guide patients through the first steps of the vision care journey. You will handle preliminary testing, explain services, and help customers find the right eyewear and care options.

This part-time role emphasizes patient experience, accurate record-keeping, and team collaboration in-store. HS diploma or GED required, prior customer service is a plus, and training on eye health will be provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
