Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks certified teachers to support and motivate K-12 students through high-quality virtual instruction using the Pearson Online Classroom. The role involves delivering synchronous and asynchronous lessons, providing interventions, engaging families, and using data to drive student growth.

The position is based in Duluth, GA, with remote home-office flexibility within Georgia, requiring in-person activities across the state and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate.
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Experience in teaching or supporting Title I schools.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (overnight travel possible).
• Ability to work some occasional evening hours as needed.
• Must use a personal device and email for two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and MTSS/RTI interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement accommodations with fidelity.
• Use assessment data to diagnose needs, plan instruction, monitor progress.
• Maintain knowledge of courses and K-12 curriculum pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support engagement.
• Administer and score formative and summative assessments and provide feedback.
• Participate in Georgia state assessments (Georgia Milestones, ACCESS, End-of-Pathway).
• Maintain attendance and intervention documentation.
• Collaborate within PLC to monitor data and plan instruction.
