Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy is seeking certified teachers to deliver high-quality virtual instruction from a Duluth, GA base and home office within Georgia. The role requires collaboration with staff, data-driven instruction, and regular participation in in-person statewide activities.

You will engage families, provide interventions, and support students through both synchronous and asynchronous learning while meeting Georgia standards and assessment requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Elementary Education P-5 certification or equivalent.
• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office & Google Suite).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and plan Tier 2/3 interventions within MTSS/RTI.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations with fidelity.
• Use data to diagnose learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain records of attendance, communication, and academic progress.
• Support virtual and in-person engagement efforts and school events.
