Georgia Connections Academy seeks a Certified High School Science Teacher to support and motivate students through high-quality virtual instruction using the Pearson Online Classroom. Teachers deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction, provide intervention and enrichment, engage families, and use data to drive student learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate.
• Science (6-12) (Broad Field).
• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area.
• Must obtain a Georgia Clearance Certificate within the first 30 days of hire.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office products and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work with diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and collaborate within MTSS/RTI to plan Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations are implemented with fidelity and aligned to learning needs.
• Use assessment data to diagnose student learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned courses and awareness of K-12 curriculum pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic success and engagement.
• Provide clear, consistent feedback on all student work and assessments.
• Conduct parent conferences and update Personal Learning Plans; communicate progress and needs.
• Support students with alternate lessons, assessments, and targeted instructional strategies.
