Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy seeks a certified teacher to deliver high-quality virtual instruction for K-12 students from the Duluth, GA area. The role combines in-person school duties with effective remote instruction, using the Pearson Online Classroom.

You will engage families, monitor student progress with data-driven planning, and collaborate with specialists to support diverse learners, including those in MTSS/RTI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Georgia teaching certification in the subject area of instruction.
• Clearance certificate issued by the Georgia Department of Education or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or related field; Math/Special Education credentials preferred.
• Experience or capability to teach Title I schools and implement MTSS/RTI.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and plan Tier 2/3 interventions within MTSS/RTI.
• Collaborate with advisory teachers, counselors, and support staff to meet student needs.
• Use assessment data to diagnose learning gaps, plan instruction, and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance, communications, and intervention documentation.
• Support school events, family engagement, and graduation activities.
