Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy is seeking certified teachers to support and motivate students through high-quality virtual instruction using the Pearson Online Classroom. You will deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction, engage families, and use data to drive student learning and growth.

The role is based in Duluth, GA with a home-office component within Georgia, requiring collaboration with school staff and participation in state assessments. A Georgia teaching certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the content area or related field.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate
• Must have a Georgia teaching certification in the subject area
• Must obtain a Georgia Teacher Certification within 30 days of hire
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction within MTSS/RTI to plan Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations are implemented with fidelity.
• Use assessment data to diagnose student learning needs, plan instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of assigned courses and K-12 curriculum pathways.
• Engage families and monitor attendance and progress.
