While this position provides virtual patient companion services to the patients of CommonSpirit Health across the United States, it must be worked on-site at our Phoenix AZ Virtual Hospital located at 3033 N. 3rd Avenue.
Working as a Patient Companion is a rewarding career that allows you to help people in need across the United States in a 24/7 virtual call center environment. As part of our highly specialized team at CommonSpirit Health's Virtual Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, this position involves monitoring patients identified as high risk for falls, elopement, illicit drug/alcohol use, disorientation/dementia, pulling out lines/tubes, and other safety concerns that could affect their healing at 140+ hospitals across 21 states. Patient Companions are compassionate individuals comfortable talking to people who might be emotional, panicked, stressed, or in pain. They work virtually, responding calmly and efficiently to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years recent patient care experience or official transcript showing completion of nursing fundamentals and clinical practice.
Preferred: Current certification or enrollment in healthcare programs like nursing, medical assisting, EMT, etc.
