While this position provides virtual patient companion services to the patients of CommonSpirit Health across the United States, it must be performed on-site at our Phoenix AZ Virtual Hospital located at 3033 N. 3rd Avenue.
Working as a Patient Companion is a rewarding career that helps people in need across the U.S. in a 24/7 virtual call center environment. As part of our specialized team at CommonSpirit Health's Virtual Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, this role involves monitoring high-risk patients (e.g., fall risk, elopement, substance use, disorientation, pulling lines/tubes) across 140+ hospitals in 21 states. Patient Companions are compassionate, comfortable talking to emotionally distressed or in-pain individuals, working virtually to ensure safety and comfort under stress.

Required: High school diploma and 3 years recent patient care experience or completion of nursing fundamentals and clinical practice.
Preferred: Current medical certification/license (Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT) or enrollment in a healthcare program.
