Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to deliver world-class IT services for staff, including engineers and 24x7 manufacturing operations. You will provide tiered support, deploy hardware, manage assets, and support AV/VC globally for in-region teams.

The role requires strong technical and customer-service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, independent work style. Occasional after-hours support is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, printers, software, and IP networks within an enterprise environment.
• 1+ years of professional experience in AV (audio/visual) events support.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier support to SpaceX employees.
• Manage on site inventory and the total lifecycle of IT assets.
• Procure, configure and deploy computer hardware and mobile cellular devices.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, in person and remotely.
• Configure and troubleshoot desktop, label and large multifunction printers.
• Network support and troubleshooting, from device connectivity to VLAN configuration.
• Configure non-traditional network attached devices (production, metrology and test machines) and interface with SpaceX infrastructure.
• Develop new workflows and solutions, working directly with IT engineering groups and other internal/external resources to resolve complex issues.
• Support AV/VC solutions locally and globally to support in-region teams.
• Support events around the SpaceX offices from an AV (audio/visual) standpoint, and occasional out-of-hours event support.
• Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms that non-technical people can understand.
