Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Support Technician, VIP Support, to provide tiered IT support for SpaceX staff and manage on-site hardware and AV systems. The role requires proactive problem-solving, strong customer service, and the ability to handle demanding, mission-critical environments.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ years in enterprise IT, AV event support, and Microsoft technologies, with flexibility for shifts and overtime as needed. SpaceX offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, printers, software, and IP networks within an enterprise environment.
• 1+ years of professional experience in AV (audio/visual) events support.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier support to SpaceX employees.
• Manage on site inventory and the total lifecycle of IT assets.
• Procure, configure and deploy computer hardware and mobile cellular devices.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, in person and remotely.
• Configure and troubleshoot desktop, label and large multifunction printers.
• Network support and troubleshooting, from device connectivity to VLAN configuration.
• Configure non-traditional network attached devices and interface with SpaceX infrastructure.
• Develop new workflows and solutions, working with IT engineering groups to resolve complex issues.
• Support AV/VC solutions locally and globally to support in-region teams.
• Support events around the SpaceX offices from an AV standpoint, and occasional out-of-hours event support.
• Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas to non-technical people.
