Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver world-class IT service for staff, including engineers supporting launch and mission operations. The role requires hands-on hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, plus strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Your work will cover onboarding, device configuration, asset lifecycle, and documenting solutions for non-technical users. Flexibility to work shifts and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, printers, software, and IP networks within an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tier support to SpaceX employees.
• Manage on-site inventory and the total lifecycle of IT assets.
• Procure, configure and deploy computer hardware and mobile cellular devices.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, in person and remotely.
• Configure and troubleshoot desktop, label and large multifunction printers.
• Network support and troubleshooting. From device connectivity to VLAN configuration.
• Configure non-traditional network attached devices and interface with SpaceX infrastructure.
• Develop new workflows and solutions, working directly with IT engineering groups and other internal/external resources to resolve complex issues.
• Write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms that non-technical people can understand.
