Job summary

Align Communications is seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our Managed Services team in NYC. The role focuses on hands-on desktop support for executives and VIP users, with a strong emphasis on customer service and professional communication.

Hybrid onsite role three days per week, with a rotational on-call schedule including overnights and weekends. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a salary in the $70K–$80K range.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of MSP or client-facing IT support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience in hybrid and cloud-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Knowledge of remote-access technologies (VPN, virtual machines, AVD, and RDP).
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting Hedge Fund/Financial Services industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and end-user technical support at a key Managed Services client location.
• Deliver a high level of customer service and technical support for executive and VIP users.
• Own issues through resolution with clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Translate technical concepts into client-friendly language for users of varying knowledge.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, connectivity, IP phone, printing, and application issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps and services and related productivity issues.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and remove desktop applications, hardware, and workstations.
• Troubleshoot workstation and infrastructure issues to keep end-user tech reliable.
• Escalate complex issues while owning the client experience and communication.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions per Managed Services processes.
