Job summary

Align is seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will deliver hands-on desktop and end-user support for executives and VIP users in a hybrid NYC setting, with on-site presence three days a week and on-call rotations including overnights and weekends.

The role emphasizes proactive service, clear communication, and ownership of the client experience within a fast-paced financial services environment. A 70K–80K salary with full benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in MSP or similar client-facing IT support
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience/certifications
• Strong structured troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience in hybrid and cloud environments
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Knowledge of VPN, VMs, AVD, Remote Desktop
• Familiarity with Active Directory & Group Policy
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Hedge Fund/Financial Services clients preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and end-user technical support at a major client location.
• Deliver high-level customer service and technical support for executives and VIP users.
• Own issues through resolution with clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Translate complex tech concepts to client-friendly language.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, connectivity, IP phones, printing, and apps.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and productivity tools.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and remove desktop software and hardware.
• Maintain documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues while owning the client experience.
• Collaborate with users across knowledge levels in a fast-paced environment.
