VIP Tires & Service is seeking a Tech-Advisor to support both service writer and installation technician duties at our Sanford, ME location. The role emphasizes safety, customer engagement, and teamwork to deliver a superior automotive service experience.

Responsibilities include handling counter duties, performing technician tasks when needed, and completing required certifications. The successful candidate will help the team meet VIP standards and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Automotive service experience is required.
• Two-year college or technical school recommended.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.
• ASE certifications are listed as desired.
• State Inspection License required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is priority and follow safety policies.
• Serve customers at counter as service writer; educate on vehicle condition.
• Perform shop duties as technician following VIP standards.
• Complete required training and certifications for both roles.
• Aim for high customer engagement and billed hours targets.
• Learn VIP processes and execute duties to improve customer experience.
• Maintain facility and equipment; report issues as needed.
• Enforce compliance with Code of Ethics and regulations.
• Communicate with management to ensure policy compliance.
