Job summary

VIP Tires & Service in Portland, ME seeks a Tech-Advisor to blend service writer duties with installation technician tasks. You will engage customers, explain vehicle conditions, and perform duties per VIP standards.

This role supports a fast-paced service department and requires safety-first execution. Applicants should pursue LMS and vendor trainings, obtain BATS and TPMS related certifications, and achieve ASE credentials.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Certified in ASE C1 as Service Consultant; P2, G1, A4, A5 are preferred.
• Completion of safety and automotive training as required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top responsibility in all operations.
• Assist customers at the counter, communicate vehicle conditions and MPI results.
• Work in the shop as a technician when needed and complete services per VIP standards.
• Complete LMS and vendor trainings; maintain required certifications.
• Support management to deliver a superior customer experience and productivity.
