Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Kwethluk is seeking a Community Health Aide Trainee to provide primary and emergency care at the village clinic. This full-time role requires relocation to a village, travel to Bethel or training sites, and a commitment to year-round coverage.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Positive work history.
• Must read, write and perform basic math at 8th grade level (TABE).
• Must be nominated by village council.
• Attend Health Aide Sessions I-IV to become CHP.
• Must be certified ETT or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary (acute, chronic and preventive) health care and emergency care at the village clinic.
• Be available for year-round coverage including summers.
• Provide itinerant/float coverage to other YKHC villages as assigned.
• May serve as Lead Health Aide in the future.
