Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Community Health Aide Trainee for the Chuathbaluk village clinic to provide primary, preventive, and emergency care. Relocation to the village is required, with basic training sessions and ongoing training to qualify as CHP/ETT/EMT.

You must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and demonstrate reading, writing, and basic math skills. Willingness to travel for training and to cover multiple villages is essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required; TABE level 8 reading/writing and basic math.
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic, preventive and emergency care at the village clinic.
• Offer year-round coverage including summers; itinerant coverage to other villages as assigned.
• Attend Health Aide sessions I–IV to become certified CHP/ETT/EMT; follow CHAP policies.
