Job summary

YKHC Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary and urgent care in village clinics across rural southwest Alaska. The role requires relocation to a village, English communication, and willingness to travel for training and coverage.

Responsibilities include preventive and chronic care activities, year-round coverage, and possible lead Health Aide duties. Competitive benefits and a strong commitment to tribal health are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and perform math at basic levels; TABE assessment may be used.
• Must be nominated by village leadership to serve as CHA/P; willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic, preventive and emergency care in village clinics.
• Travel to Bethel or training sites for basic trainings and ongoing education.
• May serve as Lead Health Aide and provide itinerant coverage as needed.
