Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary, acute, chronic, and preventive care at village clinics across rural Alaska. The role requires residency in the village or willingness to relocate and involves travel for training.

Responsibilities include ongoing preventative and chronic care activities, with potential to serve as Lead Health Aide and provide itinerant coverage among YKHC villages, while complying with CHAP policies and

Qualifications

• Must be resident of the village or relocate to the village for service as CHA/P.
• Must be able to read, write and perform math at the 8th grade level per TABE.
• Must attend Health Aide Sessions I–IV to become CHP; must be certified ETT or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary (acute, chronic and preventive) health care and emergency care at the village clinic.
• Travel to Bethel and/or other training sites to attend basic training sessions and other required trainings.
• May be tasked as Lead Health Aide; float coverage to other YKHC villages as assigned.
• Participate in preventative and chronic care activities as appropriate to level of training.
