The Open VisaNet (OVN) organization provides Information Technology services that enable Visa's mission‑critical core payment systems. The business applications enabled by OVN provide the essential functions that consumers, merchants, and financial institutions in the payment ecosystem need to transact payments, affect settlement of funds, manage payment risk, and manage disputed payments. The Vice President, Dispute Processing leads a development organization responsible for Visa's global dispute management system, Visa Resolve Online (VROL), a web‑based application that supports customer service representatives and back‑office analysts in managing the dispute transaction life cycle. This high‑impact role reports to the Head of Open VisaNet and is critical to ensuring Visa's leadership role in the payment ecosystem.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees alternate time between remote and office. Employees are expected to work from the office 2–3 set days a week, generally more than 50% of the time based on business needs. Visa requires at least 3 days in office; the exact schedule will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; or 10+ years with an advanced degree (Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 8+ years with a PhD. Demonstrated track record of leading multidisciplinary projects or initiatives that represent highly complex organizational issues with broad technical and strategic impact. Trusted leader with direct management of software development teams of 40 or more and significant experience managing remote/offshore teams and budget responsibility of at least 10–15 Million USD. Established vendor relationships and managed initiatives with vendor participation to successful completion. Strong understanding of vendor SLAs, delivery, customer satisfaction, performance metrics, and scorecards for complex large‑scale projects. Foundational knowledge of the following platforms and technologies: Oracle JVM‑based platforms (tcServer or similar) and Java frameworks such as Spring and Struts.
Results‑driven manager with experience establishing direction, aligning goals with corporate tactical and strategic objectives, achieving high‑quality results, and motivating an engaged, high‑performing team. Consistently demonstrates initiative, integrity, collaboration, and stewardship over corporate financial and human resources. Strong executive presence with effective communication, inspiration, and mentoring skills. U.S. applicants only: estimated salary range 235,700–409,000 USD per year, may include potential sales incentive payments. Eligible for bonus and equity.
