Job Description

Visa's Gateway Services is responsible for the front door into the Visa network, providing the secure connectivity, routing, and access mechanisms that allow merchants, acquirers, wallets, and partners to submit transactions into VisaNet. As Visa modernizes its core processing platforms through Open VisaNet (OVN), Gateway Services plays a critical role in evolving legacy access models toward API‑driven, scalable, and globally distributed architectures that safely support new payment flows, regions, and business models.

Gateway Services is also embedding AI and automation across engineering and operations to accelerate delivery, improve resilience, and evolve from reactive operations toward predictive, intelligent platforms aligned with Visa's 2030 technology strategy.

Essential Functions

These access systems are fundamental to the Visa business and among the most mission‑critical platforms at Visa. You will lead and guide your organization to deliver gateway and access solutions that integrate directly with Visa's broader efforts to reengineer and modernize core processing systems, including Authorization and OVN.

This role requires precise end‑to‑end planning, disciplined resource management, and confident communication at the most senior levels of the company. You will lead an outstanding and expanding global engineering organization and will be expected to identify, mentor, and grow the next generation of leaders.

It's all about exceptional leadership, long‑term vision, thought leadership, excellence in execution, and superlative communication. If this is who you are, we would welcome the opportunity to talk with you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a large, globally distributed engineering organization, ensuring teams are engaged, productive, and growing. Provide mentorship and succession planning, act as a force multiplier.
  • Implement, deploy, and support mission‑critical gateway and access platforms comprising thousands of servers globally, with expectations of zero downtime and the highest levels of cybersecurity.
  • Lead the long‑term strategy and architecture for next‑generation access and gateway systems aligned with VisaNet and OVN modernization.
  • Leverage AI and automation to drive innovation, accelerate delivery, and improve operational resilience without compromising accuracy, define and track AI metrics that evidence high‑performing teams.
  • Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with Technology, Product, Client Services, and Risk & Compliance, represent Gateway Services and PPD with credibility at senior executive levels.
  • Maintain a total quality mindset, ensuring the right processes, tooling, and metrics are in place for sustainable, scalable delivery.
  • Drive execution with urgency, clarity, and accountability in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and personal accountability.
  • Occasional travel to Singapore and other U.S. locations is required.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
