Job summary

Mars Petcare's Royal Canin division seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager to lead the Frederick, MD territory. This field-based role requires residency within the territory and focuses on delivering clinic-driven sales and Vet BU objectives.

In this role you will translate clinic data into opportunities, build territory plans, manage relationships with clinic decision-makers, and present data-driven insights. Expect travel ~20–30% plus cross-functional collaboration and CRM/reporting duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Overnight travel 20–30%+.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan to grow clinics within the geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers.
• Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations for veterinary staff.
• Collaborate across BU and organization to meet shared objectives.
• Build partnerships and work cross-functionally to meet goals.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy effectively.
• Work in a cross-functional team and adapt to changing environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies as needed.
• Manage an expense and sales budget; complete CRM and expense reports timely.
