Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Royal Canin brand, based in the St. Louis East territory. This field-based role requires residing within the territory and traveling about 20-30% to clinics and conferences.

You will execute the Vet BU strategy, translate clinic data into opportunities, and build strong relationships with clinic decision-makers. Excellent communication and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations for Veterinary staff.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy and adjust tactics as needed to maximize territory performance.
• Manage budget and reporting: expenses, CRM call reports, expense reports, and presentations timely.
