Job summary

Mars is hiring a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the Royal Canin brand, based in Frederick, MD. This field-based role requires living in the territory and traveling approximately 20-30%+.

You will execute the Vet BU strategy, grow clinic relationships, and meet sales goals across the assigned geography. Key aspects include translating clinic data into opportunities, delivering compelling presentations, and collaborating with account teams and scientific affairs to maximize territory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; ~20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and growing clinics in the territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address Veterinary staff needs.
• Build strong working relationships across BU & organization with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with others to meet shared objectives and drive the BU sales strategy.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy in a cross-functional, dynamic environment.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage budget and reporting; complete CRM calls, expense reports, and presentations timely.
