Job summary

Mars Incorporated, Royal Canin brand, is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager for the St. Louis East area. This field-based role requires residence within the territory and entails travel 20-30% to clinics, conferences, and customer sites.

The position focuses on executing Vet BU strategy and achieving clinic-specific sales goals by leveraging data and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or higher, 2+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred),

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic needs and growing clinics in the geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within the territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations for veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs.
• Build partnerships and work with others to meet objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary BU sales strategy.
• Operate in a cross-functional, dynamic environment.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budget; complete CRM call reports and expense reports promptly.
