Job summary

Mars, operating through its Royal Canin unit, seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager to drive Vet BU strategy within a defined territory. The role fosters clinic relationships, translates data into opportunities, and delivers compelling presentations to veterinary staff.

Based in Shreveport, LA, the position requires 20–30% travel and a valid driver's license, with cross-functional collaboration and quarterly business reviews to optimize territory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within territory.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet shared objectives and maximize territory performance.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy in a cross-functional team environment.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies based on changing needs.
