Job summary

Mars Incorporated, Rochester, NY, is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to execute the Vet Business Unit strategy across the Rochester region. You will identify clinic opportunities, develop territory plans, and drive growth with veterinarians and clinic staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 2+ years sales experience (B2B) and veterinary clinic exposure are desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required; ~20–30% travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan; grow clinics within the geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers in the territory.
• Deliver compelling, data-driven presentations addressing Veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy across the region.
• Work in a cross-functional team environment and adapt to changing conditions.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Line Manager and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Manage expenses and sales budgets; complete CRM and expense reporting.
