Job summary

Mars is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager to execute the Vet Business Unit strategy across the Hudson Gateway territory (Ramapo, Nyack, Suffern, Harriman, Warwick NY and Rahway, Clifton, Bloomingdale NJ).

This field-based, individual contributor role requires residence within the territory and includes ~20–30% travel, with occasional overnight travel for conferences. You will grow clinic partnerships, translate data into opportunities, and drive account-specific sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, approx. 20–30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs. Leverage this to grow clinics within assigned geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of the Veterinary staff.
• Develops strong working relationship with key stakeholder groups across the BU & organization. Balances the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs).
• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Effectively execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team-based environment. Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and routinely adjust the strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance.
• Budget and reporting: Manage an expense and sales budget. Complete CRM call reports, expense reports and presentations in a timely and accurate manner
