Job summary

Southern Veterinary Center is seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This part-time or full-time role is the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming, professional atmosphere and smooth front desk operations.

You will handle phone calls, client check-ins/outs, cash transactions, and coordination with our online pharmacy while maintaining accurate records and supporting the veterinary team.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with veterinary software or medical office software is a plus.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Check clients and patients in and out.
• Handle large cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Communicate with pet owners in person and by phone.
• Manage prescription refills and coordinate with our online pharmacy.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records.
• Support the veterinary team with daily administrative tasks.
