Mission Pet Health is hiring a Receptionist in Royal Oak, MI to be the welcoming face of the hospital and coordinate client interactions with compassion and efficiency.

You will manage the phone system, schedules, and basic financial transactions, while supporting the veterinary team with accurate records and patient care coordination. A love for animals and strong communication are essential, with some weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer service and love for animals.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stressful situations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset and ability to work independently or with guidance.
• Experience with veterinary software preferred; flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be the Director of First Impressions: manage a multi-line phone system, greet clients with a positive attitude, and reflect compassionate care.
• Ensure Seamless Care Coordination: maintain medical records, manage appointments, handle financial transactions.
• Advocate for Pet Health: educate clients on preventative care and hospital services to ensure best care for pets.
• Embody Compassion and Empathy: be a calming presence, show empathy, and treat each pet like your own.
