Responsibilities

• Greet clients with warm acknowledgement as the hospital entry opens.
• Offer a friendly smile, eye contact, and approachable demeanor.
• Be a compassionate listener.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone.
• Assess each client's needs and the pet's condition on arrival.
• Determine whether an arrival is a stat versus standard emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and inform clients how to prepare their pet.
• Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains.
