Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic, located in Atlanta, Georgia, has been serving the community for 50 years. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats, offering services such as routine medical, surgical, advanced dental care, dermatology, and laser therapy.

Our veterinarians perform a wide range of soft tissue, orthopedic, and endoscopic surgeries with advanced monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities of a Receptionist
  • Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  • Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, such as referral documentation and medical history.
  • Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, and scheduling appointments.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
  • Manage financial transactions, including collections and cash/credit procedures, and follow opening and closing protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service with professional communication skills.
  • Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy and respect toward clients and pets.
  • Utilize standard office equipment and have knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  • Work independently and accept direction on tasks.
  • Possess organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management.
