Overview

Capitol Illini Veterinary Services is where pets get healthy and where people stay happy. As one of the larger veterinary practices in central Illinois, we provide high-quality medical care for cats, dogs, pocket pets, and reptiles.

We manage two full-service animal hospitals in Springfield and Chatham, offering excellent standard of care at each location. Our friendly team works as a cohesive unit, with each doctor focusing on a specific niche of pet medicine. Our goal is to give your pet access to the best diagnosis and treatment options possible.

Position Details

Location: 1020 Jason Pl, Chatham, IL 62629

Shift: Full time (30+ hours/week). Flexible options including 4-day work weeks (7am-6pm) and 2-3 Saturdays per month (7am-12pm).

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Responsibilities

The Receptionist is the first and last contact clients have with the hospital, responsible for creating positive impressions. Key duties include:

• Greeting clients and pets warmly
• Answering calls professionally, providing animal care advice, scheduling appointments
• Managing medical records and billing
• Processing payments and verifying client information
• Supporting veterinary staff and assisting clients with prescriptions and retail products
