Highland’s Pet Medical Clinic in Austin, TX is seeking a Practice Manager to lead operations, HR, marketing, planning, and IT management in partnership with the MDVM to ensure profitability and high client satisfaction.

You will oversee practice finances, inventory, scheduling, vendor relations, payroll, and compliance while developing a strong team culture and delivering exceptional client and patient care.

Qualifications

• Full-time, on-site role with weekend availability.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in applied science, veterinary technology, or business a plus; Practice Manager Certification a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; ability to lift more with assistance.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and client service experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages practice financial performance and drives revenue growth.
• Manages expenses including pharmacy, supplies, labor, and facility.
• Ensures inventory management with balanced stock.
• Partners with MDVM to ensure accurate pricing and medical records.
• Prepares and analyzes performance reports to improve results.
• Oversees payroll, scheduling, and compliance with payroll regulations.
• Coordinates vendor and supplier relationships for quality support.
• Collaborates with Heartland Marketing for strategy and branding.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, regulatory agencies, and reporting.
