Job summary

Pathway Vet Alliance in Austin, TX is seeking a Practice Manager for a veterinary hospital. You will foster a positive culture, oversee daily operations, and ensure client and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, budgeting with leadership, tracking KPIs, managing inventory and fees, and ensuring software and safety procedures are in place. Strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills required; CVPM encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hospital management or supervisory experience in Veterinary Medicine.
• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent business experience.
• CVPM encouraged to apply.
• Sound personal judgment in decision‑making.
• Leadership, management, and coaching skills at all levels.
• Staff management competency: hiring, coaching, disciplinary action.
• Empathy toward clients and compassion for animals.
• Budgeting and financial reporting competency, including reading and analyzing a P&L Statement.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to outstanding client service.
• Solid math and Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Physical ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance, and objects over 40 pounds with assistance.
