Job summary

Petco is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to lead our veterinary hospital team, partnering with veterinarians and store teams to deliver high-quality client and patient care. You’ll oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, training and compliance while driving revenue growth and controlling costs.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years previous experience working in a veterinary practice; or 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results with hospital partners.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor under pressure.
• Telephone etiquette and basic computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn, adapt to change and contribute.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operating efficiency and patient care.
• Coordinate with veterinarians to maintain a positive culture and cohesive team.
• Manage day-to-day functions: scheduling, equipment, inventory, invoicing, patient records and accounts receivable.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management in partnership with HR.
• Schedule alignment with the Area Operations Manager and Medical Director as needed.
• Review and support P&L and revenue growth targets with leadership.
