Job summary

Petco is seeking a Hospital Concierge for its Vetco Total Care hospital network. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer care, greeting clients and pets, managing the appointment calendar, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a busy veterinary setting.

The Concierge acts as the first and last point of contact, supporting the medical team and coordinating communications with clients to maintain a positive experience for both pets and their people.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is a requirement.
• Must have at least 1 year’s previous experience working in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls appropriately.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling appointments.
• Greet all visitors to the practice and manage waiting area.
• Participate in training of new staff and dissemination of knowledge.
• Ensure waiting area is clean and well-stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client’s preferred method the prior day.
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
