Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting.
• Customer service experience in a high-volume or call-center environment is preferred.
• General computer skills and ability to learn multiple programs.
• Proficiency with front desk equipment such as fax, credit card, and copy machines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks.
• Team player with patience and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to sit for the majority of the day.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in person and over the phone.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, record-keeping, and invoice preparation.
• Respond with compassion in stressful or emotional situations.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly lobby and front office area.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, pet insurance, and products.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and end-of-day deposits.
• Data entry for records, client questionnaires, and referrals.
• Ensure referral letters and lab results reach the correct veterinarians.
• Admit patients, weigh them, and verify current information.
