Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Veterinary Hospital Receptionist for our Vetco Total Care hospital in Brooklyn Sunset Park, NY. The role greets clients, answers calls, schedules appointments, and supports staff to ensure a smooth experience for pets and their parents.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year in a veterinary or customer-facing role, excellent communication, and strong computer/telephone skills. Training in a Practice Management System is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; prior veterinary or client-facing experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be compassionate, professional, and able to stay poised in stressful situations.
• Strong telephone and computer skills are required; familiarity with a practice management system preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answer practice phone and route calls to appropriate staff.
• Greet clients and patients, manage appointment calendar, and notify staff of arrivals.
• Monitor wait times and assist during peak periods or emergencies.
• Maintain a clean waiting area and ensure proper supplies are available.
• Support training of new staff and assist with general operations.
