Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Concierge for our Vetco Total Care hospital to deliver outstanding customer service to clients and patients.

You will manage phone calls, appointments, greet visitors, assist with scheduling, and support medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow. This on-site role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year in veterinary or customer-facing work, excellent communication, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is a requirement.
• Must have at least 1 year's previous experience working in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
• Must have exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change.
• Preferred: Previous experience using a Practice Management System

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and schedule appointments.
• Greet visitors and clients, notify staff, monitor wait times.
• Participate in training of new staff and knowledge dissemination.
• Ensure waiting area is clean and stocked.
• Confirm appointments by client preference (phone, email, text).
• Provide backup support to technical staff when needed.
